Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation + SPF 20 Review

Covergirl 3 in 1 Foundation, Is it worth the hype?

We have all heard about it and wonder if it holds up to its claims. The claims are that its an all-day flawless coverage with lasting power of primer, coverage of a concealer, and blendability of a foundation in one that is shine free. WOW! With these kinds of claims they definitely have my attention! This foundation retails for around $10 to $12 in drugstores. I paid $11.99 at my local CVS.

Packaging
This foundation comes in a glass jar with a blue pump top. Yes, I said a pump! Pumps are always a plus. I like that it isn't messy and you can control how much you pump out.  The packaging is very sturdy and not cheap looking.

Color, Formula, & Coverage
As for the color, it comes in 14 different shades. Ranging from lightest to darkest, the colors are: Ivory 805, Classic Ivory 810, Creamy Natural 820, Buff Beige 825, Nude Beige 832, Natural Beige 840, Medium Beige 842, Warm Beige 845, Creamy Beige 850, Soft Honey 855, Golden Tan 857, Classic Tan 860, Tawny 865, Soft Sable 875.

My shade that I picked up is in Nude Beige 832. It suits my skin-color very well.
This a multifunctional foundation that acts as a primer, concealer, and foundation all in one. It also contains SPF 20 which is another plus.

The formula is creamy but liquidity. It doesn't dry fast so it allows you time to blend it effortlessly. I use the Real Techniques buffing brush to blend in mine, but you can use your fingers, beauty sponge, or brush. The finish is matte and not over drying. Though I have noticed that if I have major dry patches on my skin it does tend to cling onto them. I have dry areas around my mouth and nose at the moment since its winter. This dryness always hits me around this time. So I recommend a good moisturizer before using this foundation if you are prone to dryness.

This foundation does even my skin tone perfectly and feels very smooth on my skin. The finish is beautiful and I don't notice any shine. The coverage is medium to full and very long lasting! This to me is the major selling point. Even after 6 to 8 hours of wear, I still notice it looks very well. No caking, oxidizing, creasing, or flaking.

As for the 3 in 1 claims, We all know that it is a foundation but what about the primer and concealer form? As for it being primer-like, I can say that it goes on very smooth and is long lasting. I sometimes tend to wear a primer with this foundation anyways. As for being concealer-like, I tend to have dark circles under my eyes even though it does look good alone, I wear a concealer the majority of the time with it. It does tone down redness, blemishes, and helps cover the under eyes. I would not say 100% though.

Do I need a powder with this foundation?
I don't find that it's necessary to wear a powder. I am not very oily so I normally wear this foundation with just a little powder in the t-zone. If you are very oily, I would suggest wearing a powder and carry with you blotting sheets.

Finial Verdict
The coverage overall is wonderful! It leaves a smooth matte powder-like finish that lasts all day. I have to say I was very skeptical about this product because I've never really had a Covergirl foundation that worked for me. This is the first foundation that I used and loved from Covergirl. Is it my holy grail foundation? No, but it definitely deserves in the top 3. It is an amazing drugstore foundation!

*** Remember that every ones skin is different. This is my experience with this product. I'm not very oily, I'm more normal to dry with some oil in the t-zone. Everyone is different and may have different experiences with this same product. ***

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer

NARS arrived in the United States in 1984. Their products have been shown on many YouTube videos, retailers, and countless magazine covers. This cosmetic line is well known and loved. Today, I'm going to be talking about the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer. It retails for $42. on the NARS Website.

NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer is an oil-free formula that is infused with naturally derived botanicals and ingredients. It's formulated to help hydrate and even your skin tone. Through clinical studies, it shown that with regular use within four weeks it can reduce the appearance of discoloration and dark spots. It gives a sheer veil of color and sun protection in one. It smooths and blurs your imperfections without looking like you have on makeup. It's your skin but better!

It is available in 11 different shades:
(Lightest to darkest)
Terre Neuve, Finland, Alaska, Groenland, St. Moritz, Annapurna, Cuba, Malaga, Seychelles, Martinique, and Polynesia.

My Experience:
When I recently placed an order with Sephora I received my 3 samples with my order and one of them was the NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer. I couldn't wait to try this! I normally hate tinted moisturizers but my skin was dry and flaky since it's winter time here. Every time I would apply my foundation it would show my dry areas and it was killing me. No matter how much I would moisturize my face this would still happen. Nothing was helping! Then I decided to give this sample a try to see if it would be better than my normal foundation, at least until my skin hydrated up and was not so flaky.

Did it help? Yes, I loved it! Not only was it hydrating my skin my flaky dry areas didn't show through. It looked just like my skin but better. It glided smoothly over my skin and gave a beautiful natural glow with a matte feel. I had the shade Alaska. It matched perfectly to my skin since it was winter and I was lighter. It felt very hydrating and wonderful to the touch. I couldn't tell that I had on makeup and it did make my skin look better. It really did blur my imperfections out and made my skin feel smoother. If you want a better coverage you can always built it up. I only used one layer and it looked beautiful. Very lightweight and creamy formula with a natural glowing look.

In my opinion, it would best suit normal, dry, and combination skin types. Oily skin can wear it but be sure to use a oil control primer, setting powder, and blot throughout the day if you are very oily.

Final Verdict
Is it worth it? Yes! I love it. This is on my list. I never really know if I like something enough to purchase it through a sample, but this I want. I will definitely be getting the full size version. I loved the look it gave my skin. It was literally my skin but better!

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Review

How would you like to have a concealer that really held up to its claims?

I have found the one for you, It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer. I never thought that I would find a concealer that would tackle my under eye circles. Boy was I wrong! I had heard so many great reviews and recommendations for this concealer that I had to try it for myself. I anxiously awaited for it to arrive and when it did, I went straight to concealing. I was knocked off my feet by this product!
WOW! It really worked!

First, I will give you a little background information about it.
This is straight from the It Cosmetics Website:
Working hand in hand with leading plastic surgeons, Bye Bye Under Eye was created as a full coverage, highly pigmented anti-aging concealer that utilizes truly innovative technology and ingredients - giving women the power to finally say "bye -bye!" to stubborn under-eye issues. Bye Bye Under Eye offers a waterproof, yet moisturizing, formula that stays put no matter what. The truly innovative formula contains high concentrations of Vitamins K, A, C, E and Collagen, which are clinically proven to reduce under eye puffiness and discoloration while strengthening the delicate skin of the under eye area. Hypo-allergenic and non-comedogenic.*
Ingredients:
Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Bis-Diglyceryl polyacyladipate-2, VP/Hexadecene Copolymer, Cetyl Alcohol, Silica Dimethyl Silylate, Ozokerite, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Retinyl Palmitate & Tocopherol (Vitamin A), Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Phytonadione (Vitamin K), Soluble Collagen, Propylparaben, Methylparaben. MAY CONTAIN: Titanium Dioxide, Black Iron Oxide, Yellow Iron Oxide, Red Iron Oxide*

My experience with Bye Bye Under Eye:
Amazing! That's the only word that comes to mind when I think of how to explain how well this held up to its claims. I'm not sure about it curing my under eye issues, but I'm positive that I seen a drastic difference. Bye Bye other concealers this one has moved to the top of my list. It is highly pigmented, creamy, thick, and hydrating. It addressed all of my major issues, dark circles, puffiness, minor fine lines, and tiredness. I never get a full nights sleep so I always look tired. After using this concealer, I looked like I had slept all night and was wide awake.

I always prep my face with a moisturizer and a primer.
I simply dot a tiny little pea-size amount on the back of my hand. Remember,  A little goes a long way! Then I dab it under both eyes, blend with my concealer brush in small circular strokes, and then use my fingers to finish. It blends easily and gives a natural finish.

It comes in four different shades, Light, Neutral Medium, Tan, and Deep. My shade was Tan. It was a little dark for my complexion but I was able to work with it. It last for well over 10 hours. It was a perfect balance of hydration and opaque coverage.
It did not budge all day. It will last until you remove it. I use Avon Eye Remover Lotion to remove my eye makeup.

Put to the Test:
I really wanted to put this concealer to the test so I tried to cover my tattoo with it. All I can say is move over Kat Von D because It Cosmetics is moving into the tattoo concealing with you. This really amazed me! If it can conceal my tattoo like this, of course it will hind those pesky dark circles.

It is a miracle worker in a little 0.28 fl oz (8.0g) tube. For $24. this is a major steal. It will last you for a long time since a little goes such a long way.
I highly recommend it!

They have 30 beautiful colors in this line and come in six different finishes, Vinyl, Metallic, Pearl, Shimmer, Cream, and Matte. They are cruelty-free and have vitamins A, C, and E to help nourish the lips. To me they may be the best lipstick in the drugstore.

The packaging is a gold-colored mirrored tube with the lip color and name are shown on the bottom. The formula is creamy, hydrating, and smooth. Milani did away with the strong floral smell and went with a watermelon scent. Believe me they smell great! The color pay off is amazing and opaque. Priced at only $5.49 these lipsticks are a must have. I would recommend to any lipstick lover!

I am defiantly going back for more of these lipsticks. I think this time I'm going to go for the Sangria and Black Cherry. I really want to try those!
Have you purchased any Milani Color Statement Lipsticks? If you have leave me a comment below with the shades you purchased and what you think about them.
 Until next time,
xo Kayla
