NARS Guy Bourdin Palette
Francois Nars looked to create a provocative and sensual limited-edition collection to transform you into a Bourdin-esque beauty and he definitely out done himself with this 2013 Holiday Collection. Guy Bourdin was one of the best known fashion photographers to create sensual, provocative, shocking, and sometimes sinister photographs. This collaboration for the 2013 Holiday Collection Palette is outstanding!
The One Night Stand Cheek Palette features 6 powders, 1 bronzer, 1 highlighter, and 4 blushes. It retails for $65. USD (price without tax) and is sold at Sephora. It is a limited-edition palette that features three of the top selling powders from NARS; Laguna Bronzer, Orgasm Blush, and Deep Throat Blush. Each powder is 0.14oz which gives the total net wt. at 0.84oz.
The packaging is the standard NARS packaging with that soft, smooth, sleek feel. The label has the NARS logo along with Guy Bourdin on red to grab the attention. It's simple and elegant.
The 6 powders in the palette are Devotee, Mistinguette, Orgasm, Laguna, Deep Throat, and Goulue.
Powder shade details from left to right:
- Devotee-is the highlighter. Using this on your cheekbones gives a beautiful gloss-like glow. It also is good for inner corner eye highlight. A beautiful topper for your blush.
- Mistinguette-is the first blush (second powder) on the top row of the palette. It is a cool-toned, bright, bubblegum pink blush. It looks intimidating, but it blends into a subtle natural babydoll flush.
- Orgasm-is the last blush on the top row of the palette. It is a peachy-pink with golden shimmer. It is one of the most well-known blushes from NARS. This is a holy grail shade for many makeup lovers.
- Laguna-is the bronzer, the first powder on the bottom row. It is a medium to dark tan brown powder bronzer with golden shimmer. It's not too shimmery, not too orange, and not too heavy, it's the perfect shade for that glowing sun-kissed look. This is a cult favorite of NARS lovers.
- Deep Throat-Second blush in the bottom row. It is a sheer peach blush with peach coral with hints of pink and shimmer. A beautiful everyday shade and another favorite from NARS.
- Goulue-the last blush in the bottom row of the palette. It's the most bold shade in this palette. It is a medium pink, deep rose shade.

These powders are highly pigmented, creamy texture, and long wearing. This palette is a great deal considering one blush from NARS retails at $29. In this palette you gets 6 powders to contour,highlight, and apply blush all from one palette. This palette is very travel-friendly. It covers all your bases for the cheeks in one palette. The only cons I see for this palette is the limited-edition status and it only being sold through Sephora.
Final Verdict
This palette is wonderful!!! I loved it as soon as I seen it! I want to personally thank the beautiful Miss Melissa Parada that set me this palette for Christmas. If you can get your hands on this palette I highly recommend it. It features some of the cult favorites from NARS and the others are gorgeous!
